Richland
2021 Leonetti Single-Vineyard Series "Serra Pedace"
Tasting Notes
Intriguingly saturated color. The wine immediately opens with an explosive nose of ever-so-slightly dried herbs and flowers, marionberry crisp, caramel, white pepper, and a sensory note pulled from deep within my memory bank of machine oil on a turning lathe. On the palate, there are delightful notes of blackberries, raspberries, creamy vanilla custard, dark chocolate, and a lifting saline component. Concentrated, integrated, fresh and rich. The wine closes with a persistence of brawnyĀ power.
